I think that discrimination of any kind is unfortunate. It's kind of insane to think about the fact that what we saw in the videos takes place all the time, everywhere. Typically, we think that racial profiling is something that happens based on appearances, and I'd never really put much thought into this version.
I won't claim to understand the discriminatory side of this, but I think it's quite common to imagine an appearance for someone you speak with on the phone if you don't know them. Based on the fact that some people "sound their race," it only makes sense that if they speak with someone who discriminates against that race, the experience will not be favorable.
I think that those in the 20/20 video who were upset that they were turned away had every right to be upset. It's especially sad that because of experiences like this, people can end up questioning everything that doesn't turn out in their favor.

also, as the bottom of the 20/20 video there are comments where people are upset about the discussion of racial profiling--they see it as whining.
